Your skin is constantly under attack by germs and bacteria every second of the day. Therefore, it is very important to take good care of it. Cleansing is one of the most effective ways to remove dead cells and kill parasites. It is definitely not enough by just splashing water on your face nor by simply just applying some sort of cleansing product on your face for a few seconds and expect the work to be done. You will need to put in more effort to prevent further damage to your skin.
Having a proper cleansing routine will brighten your face, prevent tissue scarring, the delay aging process, improve blood circulation and help boost your skin immunity. Here are 3 basic steps to assure that you do a good job at cleansing your face.
Step 1 :
Remove make-up, excessive oil and dirt on the surface of your skin with products like the Luxe Botanics Marula Hydrating Pre Cleanser, Florens Cosmetics Micellar Water, Esse Make-up Remover or Joik Organic Two-Phase Eye Makeup Remover. Use a clean damp cotton pad or a piece of soft face wipe.
Step 2 : Wet your face and neck with clean water and apply a cleanser of your choice to your skin. Massage the cleanser with your wet fingers in small circular motion. Make sure that the pressure of your fingers is firm but gentle. Rub a little around your hair line, behind your ears and at the corners of your nose. Take about 1min to complete this step then rinse.
Step 3 :
Dab dry your face and neck with a clean face towel or some soft tissues till it's half dry. Take damp piece of cotton pad and spray some toner on it. Swipe it across your skin to check for any traces of makeup or residue. Repeat the 3 steps again if your face is still not clean. Otherwise, you are good to go!
You are advised to do this twice a day. Stay clean and happy always.

When I was young lady, I became more conscious on my looks, how I smell and how others perceive of me. One thing for sure, being in South-East Asia, spices are a huge part of my life. It has become "normal" in my blood stream. It contributes to my body odour. Having to bask in the sun almost everyday of my life living in a tropical climate does not help either. It does not eliminate nor preventme from having body odour. Not everyone is that lucky.
Especially in the areas where the hair follicles, sweat ducts and oil ducts are situated and plus the infestation of bacteria, the issue of bad body odour will arise. As we perspire throughout the day, we increase the chances of smelling stinky! Yes it gets worse when you leave the bacteria to marinate for many hours on your body, clothes, hair and etc.. Practicing good personal hygiene is encouraged to keep it at bay.
6 Ways To Reduce Body Odour:
1. Showering at least 2 times a day.
2. Change to clean fresh set of clothes after every use.
3. Use good quality detergent to wash your garments.
4. Spray nice scented perfume before heading out for the day.
5. If you work in a hot or smelly environment or even after your workout, change to a set of dry and clean clothes before taking the public transport home. Do spare a thought for the stranger sitting next to you.
6. Using Deodorant/Anti-Perspirant Odour Product on the underarms after shower or at any point you feel like you start to stink.
I would highly recommend a chemical and cruelty free deodorant which eliminates odour and does not darken the underarms. How It All Began
I have always been interested in organic skincare but became serious about it in 2014. I wanted to go back to the time when life was much simpler. And organic beauty is about that - going back to basics.
I started with my 3 Magical Steps are... 1) Cleanse 2) Tone 3) Moisturise
My Bad Days
During the days when i'm feeling exhausted and worn out, I immerse myself totally to a comprehensive self-care regime. It always begins with a good organic facial with @theorganicroom. Followed by a haircut with my hairdresser of 20 years and then I take the ferry for a nice traditional Indonesian spa treatment in Batam! I do this once a month, religiously.
It's my time to Reflect, Relax & Rejuvenate.
The Setbacks
It wasn't at all easy to start changing my lifestyle. I had to take baby steps and I failed many times. But I learned my lesson. Never try to do everything at the same time. Pick a small area of your life that you would like to change and then gradually move on to bigger things. For example, start with using an organic foundation or a lipstick. And then gradually add on from there. Likewise with your diet.
Tricks
My all time favourite product from The Organic Room is the Organic Almond Oil from Florens Cosmetics. It's my face cleanser, body moisturiser and overall the number one thing I bring on all my travels as it is the best organic almond oil I know of. I have tried MANY. This one is light, pure and is super effective in removing the most stubborn makeup. I do TV since I was a child and have been wearing makeup since. Hence it is very important that my makeup remover/cleanser is highly effective. This one does its job tremendously well. And a bonus worth mentioning - it works as a super moisturiser post cleansing, so you don’t have to get an additional product to slather on unnecessarily.
Tricks
All in all, remember to Be Realistic with your goals. And don’t be disheartened if it didn't work the first few times. It took me 5 years to go fully organic with my skin. I'm still struggling with going fully organic with my diet.
At the end of it all, I Feel Absolutely Amazing!

During this terrible times where viruses rule the world, building up your immunity is the ideal course of action. In this case, one of the very effective ways of achieving this is through exercise. It will bring up your body temperature which eliminates the virus, improve blood circulation as it distributes oxygen and nutrients throughout your body and speeds up cell renewal to replace all the damage areas to improve overall functionality.
Regular exercise is mandatory to be able to flush out the toxins from underneath your skin. It also tone up the muscles to give you an overall definition. I would personally encourage those who are suffering from skin issues to engage in any form of exercise suitable for your ability and condition for at least 2 times a week for the next 3months for the full effect to take place. Build a routine at your own pace and strength as you go along. You will get the hang of it! It's also perfectly fine if you miss a day or two whenever you feel exhausted. Pick it up again in the next few days. Alternate between cardio, strength training and stretch for a good balance. You will definitely feel amazing afterwards.
I feel that exercise gives you self-confidence. Especially when you see gradual weight-loss, you develop toned muscles and your clothes fit better. Most importantly, you will achieve radiant and healthy skin within 3months of having a consistent fitness routine.
